I had a free trial of Vocaloid 1 back in August, and it was a lot of fun. Figuring out how to make it sing a simple tune wasn't a problem, and it was a lot of fun to go figure something out on the piano and then transfer it to the program. Plus, it was Kaito, and Kaito is epic. (A bit of a butt monkey, but that mostly seems to have transferred to Gakupo as of late.)

I could never make anything significant with the program, though. I didn't know how to figure out the tempo of the music I was using, and although the measures were clear, I don't remember there being an actual 'timeline', so there was no way for me to do a cover of anything, and something from scratch would have presented a similar problem as soon as I finished the music (lol, not that I ever had the energy to attempt that)...

I really want to try it again though. ;; So I was kind of wondering, does anyone know any programs for composing music? I'd say something like Acid, but I'd prefer something where you could input the notes like you can in Vocaloid, but with piano or guitar rather than an electronic voice. Shit would be so cash.

In other news, I don't have school tomorrow and I am going to draw lots and scan them at school out of desperation. It'll be awesome (kind of) and I can stop owing people stuff then. lol, sorry Elise, Robert, and probably someone else that I've forgotten. ):

Random note: The opening single for the Tethe'Alla Chapter of the ToS OVA is out. Does this mean the first EPISODE of the OVA is out? That'd be lovely, since that's the part where the game takes a level in badass.

Aside from the LOLHOTCOFFEELOLCOLDCOFFEE scene, I felt like the game handled the emotional stuff a lot better though. Or rather, the OVA has this really strong air of drama, and the only lighthearted stuff they managed to pack into it was either in the first episode, ruin mode, or a stupid Colette-or-Genis-falling gag. Hopefully Zelos and pals will liven things up. I do realize that there's nothing happy about all the Colette spoilers and stuff, but... I don't know, there's just SO MUCH STUFF TO COVER and only 8 episodes overall, it seems, and cramming the short OMGBECOMINGTHECHOSEN part into four episodes was ALREADY pushing it. Also, since we're on the topic, the pacing in the Tales of the Abyss anime was total crap. It could be really fun at times, but they made really unnecessary changes, too. I liked that we got a full episode of Keterburg backstory, that was awesome. But then they killed off Dist for no apparent reason. Like, for real. Also, Keterburg hotel > alley.

Hey guys, I'm in the process of working on an experimental documentary for my Senior Project. The main topic we were given to work with was Identity, so I decided to look into how the introduction of the internet plays into that. I'm supposed to gather a lot of opinions on the subject, so I figured I'd ask you folks a few basic questions since I know you all have an opinion on the matter.

What I'd like to know is what sort of role the internet plays in your daily life and how that affects you for better or for worse. If you've noticed anything in particular about your behavior on the internet or because of the internet, that'd also be cool to hear about. Furthermore, if anyone would like to comment on online social norms and how they differ from the ones we observe in real life, I'd really appreciate it.

I don't have photoshop anymore, I won't be getting it anytime soon, and I have no idea how to complete my 8000 sketches. I also have no scanner, so either way, they never make it here.

And so, I think I need to learn how to use SOMETHING else adequately, but I am sososo used to coloring on the computer. I don't think I've ever seriously tried to use anything else since 7th grade and it's hooorrible.

Also, I have a suspicion that I'm going to be spending a lot more time than any sane person would in David Jean's classroom. With my tablet from home. |8 I miss completing artwork too much, and there's only so much I can (personally) do with pens. Yeeeep.

Furthermore, I feel like I should slap a quote on my wall tile. Courage is the magic that turns dreams into reality, anyone? I'm trying to think of something better, though. Something that will make some freshman in the future go "OHLOL, TALES." But I guess "OHLOL, RICHTER" is satisfying.
